Sailed Kanaha after completing some morning chores in Kahului and scored a really fun session. Boom high swell and huzzah not overpowered 4.5 weather. So nice to be wavesailing in a reasonable wind and without the usual concerns about Ho'okipa reef rocks etc. Smacked the sh*t out of loads of lips and went for 3 loop attempts. Each one was progressively better, still all crap really, but on my last effort I did get some rotation and landed on my back. Feel like I am making some headway with them now.

I would have gone for more but the wind soon started going nuts so decided to quit whilst I was ahead. Long lunch then attempted to sail Ho'okipa for the golden evening hour once the manic mid-afternoon winds had begun to drop. It looked good on arrival so rigged 4.5 (again) but the wind died to nothing only minutes after launching. Had to come straight back in. Grrrr. Not having much luck recently with my Ho'okipa sessions...but still a good day.
